“Waimate, A Walk Through Our History” is the title of the new heritage booklet which is now available through a wide variety of outlets.

The booklet is a walk down the main streets of downtown Waimate with buildings, monuments and other landmarks of note featured. It is intended as a reference for both visitors and locals.

The emphasis is on those buildings of historic significance in the main town area. Each is featured with a colour photograph and a brief summary of it’s history and past and present use. Each is also identified with a QR code which when scanned links to the Waimate2gether website where more detailed information can be found.

The Waimate 50 is also featured with a brief history and background to this iconic event.
