Waimate2gether ready for 2025

Despite the challenges faced in 2024, a Waimate community development group is reporting a successful year and busy 2025.

Waimate2gether is the organisation behind projects in the district like the White Horse monument redevelopment, a disc golf course and the Winter Festival.

The group is now focused on the Waimate Trail, a “world-class” trail that will cater to all ages, with educational and cultural aspects included.

Project manager Jo Sutherland, on behalf of the Waimate2gether committee, said the group continued to thrive in 2024, focusing on enhancing the community's wellbeing and fostering sustainable growth.

“Waimate2gether has transitioned out of the community-led development programme and is now registered under Pro-Ject Waimate Incorporated trading as Waimate2gether.

“We have two new committee members and two part-time employees.”

Project manager Jo Sutherland, on behalf of the Waimate2gether committee, said the group had continued to thrive in 2024.Aiman
