Memorial Arch

On the East boundary is a notable Coronation Memorial in honour of King George VI. The impressive structure is Mughal style and rewards viewers with a breath of the British Raj. Through its gates are tennis courts and an elegant pavilion. The Waimate tennis club was established in 1891.
