It has been another busy year for the Waimate2gether team. The 1st stage of the White Horse project is nearly complete. It has been wonderful to watch the progress unfold and work in collaboration with community groups on this great development for the Waimate community. Paul Cartridge who is the principal from Waimate Main school made my day on Tuesday when he brought in the Pou Kura that the kids have designed. They have been working on this all year. This is one of ten that will be displayed at the White horse.
The Heritage booklet has been greatly received by the community and another 500 copies have been printed. Peter Vendetti is now working on the Art booklet which will be in production in the New Year. The summer garden competition is happening again in collaboration with the gardening groups, so remember to get your entries in, lots of great prizes to be won.
