Heritage Group Meeting

A very successful meeting of Waimate Heritage Groups was held at The Waimate Event Centre on July 6th.

Each group was asked to address the meeting and explain their group’ s objectives, detail and problems they faced and to outline their future goals.

It was an excellent opportunity to bring these groups together and hear their points of view on what they see as the challenges and opportunities they faced and to hear their visions for the future of Waimate.

We are now planning a follow-up meeting for Wednesday November 3 from 7.00 - 9.00pm at The Event Centre.

Once again, we are looking to bring Waimate’s Heritage Groups and any other interested parties together. The goal of this meeting is to expand the ideas and suggestions that came out of the previous meeting and to develop a shared vision for the future development of Waimate and to outline the pathways to achieving this vision.

Waimate2gether extends a warm invitation to all who have an interest in how the community of Waimate can grow and develop.
